WEDDING CEREMONIES
As a Civil Celebrant it is a pleasure to be a part of one of the
most significant and happiest days in a couple’s life. I can assure
couples of a meaningful and well-planned ceremony, delivered with
warmth, and sincerity, being sensitive and considerate of their
needs for their special day. I have performed 1000’s of ceremonies
all over Victoria, and also interstate, and have albums of beautiful
photos with letters of appreciation. I was privileged to be awarded
“Celebrant of the Year DRTA” in 1999, and have been a finalist for
the past 6 years in the ABIA Awards. At an interview at my home,
conducted in a relaxed and comfortable environment we discuss all
of your requirements for the day. I find that most couples would
like a relaxed, happy ceremony that they themselves choose, and
one that the guests too, thoroughly enjoy. As you are most probably
aware with a Civil Ceremony you have complete choice of content
and format, and as most people are unsure where to start I supply
you with a copy of a unique resource book that will assist you in
creating your ceremony. Once you have made your selections I will
produce a draft copy of the ceremony, which I send to you for your
approval. I can also prepare an order of service for you to photocopy
for the day. A week or two before the wedding we organize a wedding
rehearsal, either at the Wedding venue or somewhere mutually convenient
– this gives me the opportunity to meet as many of the bridal party
as possible, plus family members involved in the ceremony. Due to
my singing training I have a good strong voice, so you can be assured
that everyone will hear every word of your ceremony, and that the
ceremony is delivered in a relaxed, warm and friendly manner. I
can also, if you wish, assist you with choice of music for the day.
I also prepare Certificates of Appreciation for Bridesmaids, Groomsmen,
Readers etc., and also give you a choice of five beautiful wedding
certificates. There are many more details to discuss one of which
is most important – the legal requirement which is completion of
a Notice of Intended Marriage, which needs to be done at least a
calendar month before the wedding date, but can be completed up
to 18 months beforehand. If you would like to discuss my services
